Job summary

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking a Children’s Social Worker for the First Response service. This role focuses on safeguarding, rapid assessment, and multi-agency collaboration to deliver timely outcomes for children in need.

You will work within a dynamic team, undertaking duties such as assessments, Section 47 investigations, and care proceedings to safeguard children and promote their best interests.

• You will be capable of accurate reporting and the communication of sometimes complex information to a variety of audiences.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments for all new children entering the service.
• Perform Section 47 investigations and initiate care proceedings.
• Attend legal gateway meetings as part of Public Law Outline (PLO).
• Manage a fast-paced, diverse workload and maintain high-quality practice.
