Job description

First Line Support Engineer / IT Service Desk Technician who has experience in IT Support roles, ideally at an MSP, proficiency in supporting and troubleshooting Windows 10 & 11 and Mac, with great interpersonal skills and an excellent telephone manner is required for a well-established IT Services Company based in the City of London.

WORK WITH THE LATEST CLOUD SERVICES AND TECHNOLOGIES

SALARY: £28,000 - £34,000 per annum DOE + Benefits (see below)

LOCATION: Hybrid. Working 3 days from the City of London office (Faringdon / Chancery Lane) (EC1N) and 2 days from home

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a First Line Support Engineer / IT Service Desk Technician who has experience in IT Support roles, ideally at an MSP, proficiency in supporting and troubleshooting Windows 10 & 11 and Mac, with great interpersonal skills and an excellent telephone manner.

As the First Line Support Engineer / IT Service Desk Technician you will provide remote technical support as part of a talented team, working from home two days a week and three days in the office.

Working as the First Line Support Engineer / IT Service Desk Technician you will be expected to demonstrate a strong work ethic when it comes to managing issues, have a keenness to learn and develop an appreciation for the various client cultures and their requirements.

Working in the Cloud Support Team, the organisation’s training programme ensures you have opportunities to develop your core skills and specialities for your future career in IT.

You’re a geek at heart and love to play around with the latest technologies. You get a buzz from solving problems in a busy environment and you understand the importance of excellent client service, which means you can also give simple explanations without using IT jargon. CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

As the First Line Support Engineer / IT Service Desk Technician you will have:

Essential

  • A solid academic background in IT / technology
  • Previous experience in IT support roles, ideally at an MSP
  • Knowledge of Office 365; experience supporting Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint & Teams
  • Proficient in supporting and troubleshooting Windows 10 & 11 and Mac
  • Experienced in Windows Server, including Active Directory Users & Computers, DNS, Event Viewer
  • MFA, Conditional Access, Microsoft Modern Desktop
  • Great interpersonal skills and an excellent telephone manner
  • An ability to work under pressure and respond to tight deadlines whilst prioritising workload
