About the role
As a Warehouse First Line Manager, you'll oversee the operational procedures of the warehouse and a team of Partners working in it to ensure the smooth running of our supply chain operation. You'll support the personal development of your team, creating a culture of inclusion and growth for everyone.

Salary range - For this role, the salary starts from £36,400 per annum, depending on skills and experience. Please note this role will attract a shift premium of 33.33% of the base rate, which is an additional earning of up to £12,132.12 per annum.

Contract type - This is a Permanent role.
Work Pattern - 37.5 hours per week, various shifts between the hours 20:00-07:00, 4 nights per week, working alternate weekends.

Location - Coulsdon Customer Fulfilment Centre.
Due to the working hours, you need to be 18-years or older to work in this role.

Key Responsibilities
Working in our supply chain operation is fast-paced as we aim to ensure stock is in the right place at the right time for our customers. On a day-to-day basis, you'll be responsible for:

  • Ensuring Health and Safety and all legislative and operational procedures are adhered to.
  • Keeping the operation working smoothly, identifying areas for improvement and implementing these with your team.
  • Leading and developing a high performing team, acting as a role model for the Partnership.
  • Making sure all Partners are treated fairly and respectfully.
  • Supporting the wider teams within your site when required, including deputising for the Warehouse Shift Manager in their absence.

Essential skills/experience you'll need

  • Experience in managing large teams.
  • Able to demonstrate building great relationships within your own and wider teams, as well as internal and external Stakeholders.
  • Able to work effectively with changing objectives.
  • Experience working in a management role in a Distribution / Warehouse environment with knowledge of working with warehouse management systems.
  • Stock Management experience.
  • A good understanding of Health and Safety legislation.
  • Experience of dealing with full disciplinary procedures according to ACAS guidelines.
