Job description

Pertemps is currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced FLM to join their growing warehouse team.

The position is based in Stafford ST18 and reports to the Shift Manager.

Working hours are rotating days from 0600-1400 and 1400-2200. The pay rate is £15.09 per hour, paid weekly or monthly.

As an FLM, your responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting the Shift Manager to achieve efficient and effective operations, meeting goals and objectives.
  • Driving continuous improvement in line with H&S guidelines and site procedures.
  • Planning, managing, and adjusting staffing levels to meet operational needs.
  • Ensuring a safe, secure, clean, and fair work environment for all team members.
  • Facilitating effective communication between shifts and other departments.
  • Reducing costs through effective management of hours and work practices.
  • Maintaining personal hygiene and professional appearance at all times.
  • Controlling MHE usage to minimize damage, with evidence from spot checks.
  • Ensuring compliance with SOPs in ecommerce operations.
  • Collaborating with other DHL sites to maximize efficiencies and share best practices.
  • Communicating, applying, and enforcing company policies.
  • Leading initiatives to improve productivity through coaching and mentoring.
  • Contributing to the site’s continuous improvement agenda.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Experience with PI and CI methodologies.
  • Ability to prepare KPI reports accurately for the Contract General Manager.
  • Team management skills.
  • Experience in staff management, including discipline, performance, workload coordination, and hygiene standards.
  • Warehouse experience is preferred.
