Job summary

A leading retail company in Forstal is seeking a Warehouse First Line Manager to oversee warehouse operations and manage a team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a warehouse management role, knowledge of stock management, and a good understanding of Health and Safety legislation. This permanent position requires flexible hours, including weekends.

About the role

As a Warehouse First Line Manager, you'll oversee the operational procedures of the warehouse and a team of Partners working in it to ensure the smooth running of our supply chain operation. You'll support the personal development of your team, creating a culture of inclusion and growth for everyone.

Hours of work - 37.5 hours per week, any 5 out of 7 nights to include weekend working between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00

Contract - This is a permanent role

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring Health and Safety and all legislative and operational procedures are adhered to.
• Keeping the operation working smoothly, identifying areas for improvement and implementing these with your team.
• Leading and developing a high performing team, acting as a role model for the Partnership.
• Making sure all Partners are treated fairly and respectfully.
• Supporting the wider teams within your site when required, including deputising for the Warehouse Shift Manager in their absence.

Essential skills/experience you'll need

• Experience working in a management role in a Distribution / Warehouse environment with knowledge of working with warehouse management systems.
• Stock Management experience.
• A good understanding of Health and Safety legislation.
• Experience of dealing with full disciplinary procedures according to ACAS guidelines.

37.5 hours per week, any 5 out of 7 nights to include weekend working between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00
