Job Description:

This is an exceptional opportunity for a mid-level to senior lawyer to add real value to this growing national business, headquartered in Leeds. Day-to-day, as sole counsel reporting to the Board, you will oversee risk, contracts, and regulatory matters. You will provide advice on, negotiate, and assist in drafting appointment documents with employers/clients and/or their solicitors to ensure PI insurance policy compatibility and commercial acceptability. You will liaise with insurers on matters concerning appointments, give contractual advice on contracts and related matters for projects. Additionally, you will develop and present training and seminars on relevant contracts and administration.

This role is ideal for a commercial lawyer with experience gained either in-house or in private practice. Construction industry experience is advantageous but not essential. You should be an excellent communicator, accustomed to engaging with key stakeholders both internally and externally.

The position offers hybrid working; the successful candidate must attend the office at least one day per week, ideally two, and must reside within daily commute of Leeds.
