About the Role

Are you a Psychology graduate with a passion for understanding behaviour, learning and development? Do you want to gain practical experience working with children before progressing into a career in education, therapy, or mental health? This Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant role offers the perfect opportunity to explore your interests and build vital experience in a London school setting.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting children's academic and emotional progress throughout the school day
  • Helping with literacy, numeracy, and behaviour interventions
  • Creating a nurturing, consistent presence for pupils who need extra support
  • Assisting in lesson planning and differentiated learning strategies
  • Monitoring pupil progress and adapting your approach accordingly

Qualifications

  • A Psychology graduate (2:1 or above) from a top UK university

Required Skills

  • Someone with prior experience working with children, either formally or informally
  • A compassionate, patient and proactive individual with an interest in mental health, learning and development
  • A future psychologist, teacher, or therapist looking for hands-on experience in a real-world educational setting

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working alongside SENCOs, Educational Psychologists, and other specialist staff

Pay range and compensation package

  • Full-time, long-term contract starting in September 2025
  • Weekly pay between £450-£525 (via PAYE)
