Job summary

The Olympus Academy Trust – Winterbourne Academy is seeking a part-time First Aider to join the on-site team. The post is term-time only (39 weeks) with 13 hours across Monday and Tuesday, shared with a job-share partner.

You will act as the first aid contact, care for unwell or injured students, decide on action within your first aid certificate, and maintain records. Occasional reception cover may be required.

This means that the role is shared with another employee, called a job-share partner. The successful candidate will be required to work 2 days per week and the job-share partner will work 3 days per week to ensure that the 5 school days are covered.The post-holder will act as the first aid contact at the academy, overseeing the care of students who are unwell or are injured, decide on the appropriate course of action and implement that action within the competencies of the first aid certificate held. They will also be required to maintain records and reports, including those for statutory purposes.
