Job summary

A leading technology firm in the UK is seeking a Firmware Engineering Team Lead to guide the design and development of firmware products for emergency and safety vehicle equipment, and electric vehicles. The role requires proven expertise in embedded C programming and leadership of engineering teams across multiple locations. Ideal candidates will have over 5 years of experience and a strong background in firmware design and development, ensuring technology launches meet project deadlines and budgets.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ practical engineering experience, including at least 3 years with embedded C programming.
• Extensive knowledge of microcontroller and peripheral driver firmware design.
• Demonstrated experience in new product innovation and development.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the strategic deployment of technology and systems architecture.
• Contribute to the development and testing of new firmware products.
• Manage, develop, and evaluate the performance of the Firmware Team.
• Analyse current engineering processes and implement improvements.
