Role Responsibilities

Design and deliver high-performance radio, communication, and data processing systems. Tasks include working on sensitive radio receivers, low SWaP environments, and DSP algorithms. Depending on experience, you may lead engineering teams or develop your skills within a dynamic team.

Work on state-of-the-art radio applications on SDR platforms, from concept and modeling (MATLAB) to implementation (VHDL, C/C++).

Skills and Experience

Essential:

  • Strong academic background in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics; PhD encouraged.
  • Experience in radio, communications, or DSP techniques.
  • Firmware development experience (VHDL) for FPGAs/RFSoCs; familiarity with design tools like Vivado.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, Python, Linux, VHDL, Verilog, MATLAB.
  • Problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and quick learning ability.

Desirable:

  • Interest in the space sector and awareness of industry trends.
  • Experience in space applications development.
  • Interest in wireless tech, embedded systems, and latest developments.
  • Understanding of hardware design with hands-on debugging experience.
  • Knowledge of communication systems and modem development.
Additional Information

Occasional travel to customer sites may be required. An SC security clearance is necessary, and candidates should be eligible to obtain UK SC clearance.
