Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer for the Ring/Blink firmware tooling space. You will design tools that streamline firmware testing and enable faster, reliable feedback across environments, combining developer tooling with applied AI.

You will collaborate with firmware teams, contribute across the SDLC, and maintain high-quality, scalable software solutions that enhance testing workflows and triage of failures.

Qualifications

• Experience contributing to the architecture and design of new and current systems.
• Experience in professional, non-internship software development.
• Experience programming with Python including object-oriented design.
• Experience in developing tools supporting automated testing of embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate developer tools that streamline test execution and analysis across emulators, hardware devices, and other environments.
• Apply generative AI techniques where they add genuine value, whether for test analysis, developer workflows, or exposing AI powered capabilities to other teams.
• Collaborate closely with firmware teams to understand their needs and deliver tools that fit naturally into their workflow.
• Contribute to the full software development lifecycle: scoping, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operations.
• Write clean, maintainable code and participate in peer code reviews.
