Job summary

Apex Search and Selection Limited is seeking experienced firestoppers for a passive fire contract with Bristol City Council. The role covers firestopping penetrations in low-rise social housing across Bristol, with hours Monday to Friday 8:00-17:00 and potential Saturday overtime.

Work is initially through Christmas with ongoing long-term opportunities for the right candidates. You will work in occupied homes, be tidy and respectful to residents, and log each job with before/after photos on our

Qualifications

• Proven firestopping experience on social housing or similar work.
• Working knowledge of batts, mastics, collars, wraps, and pillows to manufacturer specs.
• Blue CSCS card; asbestos awareness; manual handling and working at height certificates.
• Your own hand tools and transport to site.

Responsibilities

• Firestopping service penetrations: pipes, cables and ducts.
• Compartment work in lofts: batt walls, cavity closers, fire-rated hatches.
• Working in occupied homes and logging every job with photos on the reporting app.
