Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Firepump Service Engineer at MB FIREPUMPS LIMITED. We are expanding and looking for the right candidate to complement our existing team and bring a fresh approach to our way of working, eagerness to learn something new is essential.

The Firepump Service Engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting, field service, technical support, maintenance & repair of fire pumps, good communication is essential.

The Engineer will be covering Scotland and the Islands in various locations such as distilleries, schools, hospitals, retail parks etc.

Must be able to think on their feet and work to the highest standards and proud of their quality of work.

With our work being so niche training is provided covering the processes and operation of the equipment. A clear understanding of diesel engines and electric motor operation is a must.

A trip to a pumphouse will be arranged as part of the interview to allow candidate to see the layout of the pumphouse and what to expect as part of their job.

Qualifications

• Troubleshooting and Technical Support skills for diesel engines, pumps and 3 phase electric motors
• Knowledge of fire protection systems is beneficial but not essential
• Relevant completion of a recognised apprenticeship in mechanical or industrial engineering
