This step must be completed so the form is submitted as part of the application process, prior to the vacancy’s closing date. Your declaration form should be uploaded alongside your application form. Such applications will be treated on a case-by-case basis and following consultation with the Head of HR & OD, as per the Secondment guidance.

  2. To interrogate the Police National Computer, Police National Database and other intelligence systems in order to research applications to identify and collate information or material that is relevant to the applicant.
  3. To carry out an initial risk assessment of applications for the grant of certificates and forward these to the relevant Firearms Enquiry Officer for further enquiries.
  4. When dealing with applications for the renewal of certificates, or grant enquiries returned by the FEO, identify and review all available information relevant to the applicant, in order to risk assess and determine whether the application can be granted (known as “green light”) or requires further action and/or consideration at a higher level.

Minimum Requirements:

Educated to QCF Level 2 (3 to 5 passes in English and Maths) OR work experience deemed to have brought the postholder to a comparable level.
