Venatu Recruitment is proud to present an exciting opportunity with a successful, industry-leading client in the Fire Suppression sector, renowned as the UK's leading Data Centre Fire Suppression provider. They are seeking a Project Engineer with Fire Suppression experience to join their team on a permanent basis.
This position offers a salary of £40k - £45k, a £6.5k car allowance, and a 10% annual bonus. The role involves a 37.5-hour workweek with flexible hours between 8AM and 6PM to support work-life balance.
Job Responsibilities include:
- Assist with design issues, calculations, drawings, method statements, HSE issues, as-builts, and O&M manuals.
- Prepare detailed build budgets in collaboration with project managers before work begins and prior to procurement.
- Organize and manage the execution of orders, including design, procurement, and subcontractor services, within budget.
- Monitor labor, subcontractors, and supply chain activities.
- Assist with payments and final accounts for subcontractors.
- Liaise with head office regarding invoices and payments.
- Coordinate with the buying department on procurement activities.
- Maintain records to track project costs and progress.
- Assist with contract applications and invoicing.
- Support sales and estimation processes when needed.
- Ensure smooth project progression through collaboration with sales, design, and service teams.
- Represent the company professionally, building client relationships and maintaining a positive image.
- Monitor relationships between team members and clients/professionals.
- Uphold the company's reputation for high-quality, professional service.
- Support site management and team collaboration.
- Stay informed about competitor developments.
Candidate Requirements:
- Electrical Engineer qualifications.
- Proven experience in the M+E industry.
- Previous project experience and strong engineering principles knowledge.
- Proficiency with relevant software (AutoCAD, CAD, project management tools).
- Fire suppression experience.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Desirable: relevant project experience or engineering qualifications, knowledge of fire safety systems, building regulations, and industry best practices, Data Centre experience.
