Job summary

Build Recruitment's client seeks an experienced Fire Stopping Supervisor to lead passive fire protection teams across residential and commercial projects in Yorkshire, the North West and surrounding areas.

This temp-to-perm role starts on a day rate for 12 weeks, then offers £40,000–£45,000 per annum. You will supervise on site, ensure installations meet regulations, and travel between contracts with a valid UK license and relevant qualifications.

Qualifications

• Experience leading passive fire protection teams on site.
• Knowledge of cavity barriers, batt, mastic, and penetration sealing standards.
• SSSTS (Site Supervisor) and CSCS Blue/Gold Card required.
• Valid UK driving license.
• NVQ Level 2 in Passive Fire Protection.

Responsibilities

• Lead fire stopping teams across sites in Yorkshire and the North West.
• Ensure installations meet fire safety regulations and manufacturer specs.
• Travel to multiple contracts as required.
• Coordinate with project managers on schedules and resources.
• Carry out on‑site supervision as a working supervisor on sites.

Fire Stopping Supervisor
North West and Yorkshire

At Build Recruitment, we work exclusively with built environment specialists around the UK.

Our client is looking for an experienced working Fire Stopping Supervisor to lead passive fire protection teams across various sites, including residential and commercial projects across Yorkshire and the North West. This is a hands‑on supervisory role focused on ensuring all installations comply with current fire safety regulations, industry standards, and manufacturer specifications. They are looking for a working supervisor who is interested in carrying out Fire Stopping works, as well as Supervising.

This in a temp to perm role which will start on a day rate for the first 12 weeks, then the salary for this role ranges from £40,000 - £45,000 per annum based on experience and the successful Fire Stopping Supervisor will be expected to work as a working supervisor and have previous experience working as a Supervisor.

Our client works on contracts in Yorkshire, the North West and surrounding areas so the successful candidate will be willing to travel to different contracts in these areas.

• Lead teams of fire stoppers to ensure the safe and efficient execution of tasks.
• Ensure all passive fire protection installations (including cavity barriers, batt & mastic, and penetration sealing) meet regulatory standards.
• Active SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) and CSCS Blue/Gold Card.
• Valid UK driving license.
• NVQ L2 in Passive Fire Protection.
