Job summary

GVR Solutions Ltd. is seeking experienced Fire Stoppers for a long-term residential construction project in Central London. The role involves installing fire stopping around penetrations and ensuring compliance with fire safety requirements.

Candidates should have practical knowledge of passive fire protection, fire-rated sealants and related systems, plus the ability to interpret drawings and specifications. CSCS card and site credentials are typically required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Fire Stopper on commercial or residential construction projects.
• Knowledge of passive fire protection and fire compartmentation.
• Experience using fire-rated sealants, collars, wraps, batt systems and penetration sealing.
• Ability to interpret drawings, installation details and product specifications.
• Understanding of fire stopping requirements around mechanical, electrical and plumbing services.
• Relevant fire stopping qualifications or manufacturer training, where required.

Responsibilities

• Install fire stopping systems around service penetrations through walls and floors.
• Seal openings around pipes, cables, conduits and other services.
• Install fire-rated sealants, collars, wraps, batt systems and other products.
• Complete linear joint sealing and compartmentation works where required.
• Identify gaps and breaches in fire-rated walls, floors and compartments.
• Work from drawings and manufacturer specifications to ensure correct installation.
