Job Title: Fire Sprinkler Service Technician

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct sprinkler inspections and testing of wet, dry, and pre-action fire sprinkler systems, to identify and address issues or deficiencies, as per NFPA 25 requirements.
- Prepare reports documenting inspection findings and test results in accordance with NFPA codes and standards.
- Test and evaluate system functionality of sprinkler heads, valves, piping, pumps, and control systems.
- Inspect piping, fittings, and connections for corrosion, leaks, or damage, and recommend repairs or replacements.
- Perform maintenance tasks on fire sprinkler systems, such as replacing damaged components, cleaning pipes and heads, lubricating, and adjusting system settings.
- Inspect fire pump assemblies, including testing flow rates, pressure levels, and mechanical integrity.
- Respond promptly to service calls and emergencies, diagnosing problems and restoring functionality.
- Work with Deficiency Sellers to provide inspection reports, material needs, and repair estimates.
- Interact professionally with clients to schedule work, discuss findings, and recommend upgrades.
- Document all service reports properly into the system.
- Coordinate with Service Coordinators to optimize work orders, materials, and scheduling.
- Maintain a safe and clean workspace at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training preferred.
- Understanding of fire protection codes, including NFPA 13, NFPA 25, and relevant building codes.
- NICET Level II preferred; DPOR certification preferred (backflow and sprinkler).
- Experience in installation, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
Additional Skills:
- 3+ years of full lifecycle installation experience with fire sprinkler devices.
- Experience in retail environments preferred.
- Knowledge of NEC related to fire safety.
- CCTV, Voice, and Data cabling experience a plus.
Must possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent (vocational/technical preferred).
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
