Job summary

White Label Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Project Engineer in Salford Quays with UK-wide travel. You will lead fire protection projects from conception to delivery, handling plans, budgets and client communications.

The role offers 37 hours per week, with earlier Friday finish, and benefits including car allowance, 28 days holiday, and access to an employee assistance programme. Salary £35k-£60k DOE.

Qualifications

• Strong background in fire sprinkler systems or similar industries.
• Experience managing projects end-to-end.
• Around 4+ years' experience preferred (open to less for lower salary).
• Willingness to travel across the UK.
• LPC qualifications desirable (or willingness to work towards them).
• Design, M&E or pipework experience is a bonus, though not essential.
• A team player who communicates well and takes ownership.

Responsibilities

• Develop project plans, timelines and budgets alongside management.
• Oversee delivery of engineering projects, managing resources and deliverables.
• Ensure activities comply with company policies, procedures and quality standards.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans to keep projects on track.
• Report project status to clients, team members and senior management.
• Manage risks and issues, addressing problems before they impact delivery.
• Coordinate contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Contribute to design reviews and provide technical input.
• Support and mentor junior engineers.
