Compco Fire Systems Limited in Swansea is seeking a design engineer to create detailed fire suppression designs for small and major projects. You will work to project plans, industry design codes, and collaborate with Design, Sales & Estimating, and Contracts teams to keep projects on time and budget.

You will design sprinkler systems in 2D and 3D, calculate hydraulics, size pumps and tanks, visit sites, and prepare P&IDs, BOMs and QA paperwork.

Qualifikationen

• Experience designing sprinkler systems.
• Ability to work with a design team and deliver to plan.
• Familiarity with LPCB or relevant standards is desirable.

Aufgaben

• Designing detailed sprinkler systems in 2D and 3D, resolving clashes before site
• Calculating hydraulic performance and producing schematic diagrams
• Sizing fire pumps and tanks
• Visiting sites to survey and understand each project’s scope
• Coordinating with clients, Estimating and Contracts teams to deliver on time and budget
• Attending Design Team meetings to coordinate services
• Producing P&IDs, schedules (BOMs), builders work layouts and QA paperwork
• Complete QA paperwork and track design quantities against the estimate.
