Job Description:

Job Purpose

To be the technical specialist for designated stores responsible for undertaking first call response to Fire, CCTV, EAS, Access Control, PA, Automatic Pedestrian Gates.

Key Accountabilities

  • Undertake maintenance and repairs according to KPIs set by the customer, including response, repair, first fix, and closure.
  • Ensure all planned, reactive, and statutory works for CCTV engineers are performed as per contractual obligations in the CityFM Bookcase.
  • Complete PPM works within agreed timescales, ensuring all paperwork is accurately filled out following procedures and standards.
  • Respond promptly to service requests from the Helpdesk during working hours and on-call periods. Out-of-hours responses will be referred to the specialist.
  • Order parts as needed, ensuring prompt installation and chasing outstanding parts not delivered within 5 days.
  • Complete all required paperwork to measure performance and undertake surveys as requested.
  • Regularly communicate with the Duty Manager during store visits to report repair and maintenance issues affecting store operations.
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are available and in good condition for maintenance and repairs.
  • Perform Fire PPM visits according to BS5839 standards.
  • Ensure fire alarm systems comply with BS 5839 and report any defects.
  • Stay informed about relevant regulations and codes of practice.
  • Notify the helpdesk of procedural task conditions upon work completion.
  • Carry out surveys and prepare reports as required by supervisors or technical specialists.
