Job Description:

Job Purpose

To be the technical specialist for designated stores responsible for undertaking first call response to Fire, CCTV, EAS, Access Control, PA, Automatic Pedestrian Gates.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Undertake maintenance and repairs in accordance with KPI’s set by the customer, including response, repair, first fix, and closure.
  2. Ensure all planned, reactive, and statutory works designated to a CCTV engineer are carried out as per contractual obligations in the CityFM Bookcase.
  3. Complete PPM works within agreed timescales, ensuring all paperwork is accurate and follows procedures and standards.
  4. Respond promptly to service call requests from the Helpdesk during normal hours and when on call, referring out-of-hours calls to the designated specialist.
  5. Order parts as required, ensure prompt fitment on delivery, and chase outstanding parts not delivered within 5 days.
  6. Complete all required paperwork to measure performance and undertake surveys as requested.
  7. Meet regularly with the Duty Manager during store visits to advise on repair and maintenance issues affecting store operations.
  8. Ensure all tools and equipment needed are available and in good condition at all times.
  9. Carry out Fire PPM visits to BS5839 standards.
  10. Ensure fire alarm systems comply with BS 5839 and report defects as necessary.
  11. Be aware of relevant regulations and codes of practice.
  12. Notify the helpdesk of procedural task conditions upon work completion.
  13. Conduct surveys and complete reports as required by supervisors or technical specialists.
