Job summary

Zitko Group Ltd is seeking a Small Works Engineer for Fire & Security covering London and Home Counties. You will manage smaller projects from installation through commissioning, handling upgrades and remedial works across commercial and industrial sites.

The role emphasizes hands-on fault finding, configuration and handover, with a competitive salary around £45,000 and benefits including profit share, company car, fuel card and 25 days holiday.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience installing and commissioning Fire and/or Security systems.
• Experience across Fire Alarms, CCTV, Intruder and Access Control is valuable.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Certifications such as FIA/ECS/CSCS/IPAF are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Installing, modifying and extending Fire Alarm, CCTV, Access Control and Intruder systems.
• Carrying out system additions, upgrades, relocations and remedial works.
• Configuring, testing and commissioning Fire & Security systems.
• Fault-finding, system verification and resolving technical issues.
• Reading and interpreting drawings, specifications and technical information.
• Completing commissioning and handover documentation.
• Liaising directly with clients, Project Managers and other trades throughout delivery.
• Ensuring work meets relevant regulations, client specifications and standards including BS 5839 and BS 7671.
