Job summary

V7 Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Fire & Security Service Engineer to cover Reading and surrounding areas. The role focuses on servicing, maintaining and repairing fire alarm and security systems across commercial, residential and social housing sites.

You will perform PPM, fault findings, CCTV and access control servicing, and complete pertinent documentation. The position offers a long-term subcontract opportunity with regular weekly pay and potential for permanent progression.

Rate: £34.00-£35.00 per hour
Contract: Long-Term Subcontract | Outside IR35
V7 Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Fire & Security Service Engineer for a long-term subcontract opportunity covering Reading and the surrounding areas.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced, multi-skilled engineer looking for consistent work with an established national Fire & Security company.
The role will predominantly involve the service, maintenance, fault finding and reactive repairs of fire alarm and security systems across a range of commercial, residential and social housing sites.

Scope of Work

• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) of fire alarm and security systems.
• Fault finding, diagnostics and reactive repairs.
• Servicing conventional and addressable fire alarm systems.
• Service and maintenance of CCTV systems, including IP and analogue.
• Access control and door entry/intercom servicing.
• Intruder alarm maintenance and fault finding.
• Testing, inspection and minor remedial works.
• Identifying and replacing faulty components.
• Completing service reports and relevant documentation.
• Working independently across multiple sites.
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with relevant industry standards.

Contract Details

• £34.00-£35.00 per hour
• Outside IR35
• Weekly pay every Friday.
• 5 days per week.

Requirements

• Strong experience as a Fire & Security Service Engineer.
• Confident servicing, maintaining and fault finding on fire alarm and security systems.
• Experience with conventional and addressable fire alarm panels.
• Good working knowledge of CCTV, access control, intercom and intruder alarm systems.
• Experience across a range of manufacturers and systems.
• Able to carry out PPMs, reactive maintenance and minor repairs independently.
• Previous experience working within commercial, residential or social housing environments beneficial.
• Relevant fire and security qualifications beneficial.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Own tools and transport.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple sites.
