Job summary

Vibe Recruit is seeking a Senior Fire & Security Engineer to join a growing team covering Reading and surrounding areas. The role combines hands-on installation, commissioning, servicing and fault finding with mentoring responsibilities for junior engineers.

Ideal candidates will have strong knowledge of Fire Alarm and Security systems, excellent fault-finding skills, and a good electrical background. A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Fire & Security Engineer.
• Strong knowledge across Fire Alarm and Security systems.
• Experience with service, maintenance, installation and/or commissioning.
• Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Good electrical knowledge.
• Confidence providing technical guidance to other engineers.
• Previous mentoring or supervisory experience advantageous.
• Strong customer-facing and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Based within a reasonable travelling distance of Reading.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, service and maintain Fire Alarm, CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, emergency lighting and integrated security systems.
• Provide technical support to other engineers and assist with complex fault diagnosis.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers through coaching and guidance.

Are you an experienced Fire & Security Engineer looking for your next step?

We are recruiting for a Senior Fire & Security Engineer to join a well-established and growing Fire & Security business covering Reading and the surrounding areas.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who wants to remain technically hands-on while taking on additional responsibility for supporting and mentoring junior engineers.

A strong electrical background or electrical bias would be particularly advantageous.

The Role

You will carry out a mixture of installation, commissioning, servicing, maintenance and fault finding across:

• Fire Alarm Systems
• CCTV
• Access Control
• Intruder Alarms
• Emergency Lighting
• Integrated Security Systems

As a senior member of the team, you will also provide technical support to other engineers, assist with complex fault diagnosis and help develop junior engineers through coaching and mentoring.
