Job summary

Core Group is seeking a Fire & Security Project Manager to lead delivery of fire alarm, life-safety and electronic security projects across the UK (South of England and London). The role reports to the Divisional Manager and is based in Southampton with site work in London and the South.

The successful candidate will coordinate technical, commercial and contractual aspects to ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme and within budget, meeting client expectations.

• Experience delivering fire alarm, life-safety and electronic security projects.
• Strong coordination of designers, engineers and suppliers.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects from award to handover.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate technical, operational, commercial and contractual aspects of projects.
• Ensure delivery is safe, on programme, within budget and to client specs.
• Act as primary point of contact with client, contractor, consultants and suppliers.
• Manage multiple projects from smaller works to major refurbishments.

Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time

Salary: £65k - £75k + package

1. Role Purpose

The Fire & Security Project Manager will be responsible for the successful management and delivery of fire alarm, life-safety, electronic security and associated building systems projects from contract award through to completion and handover.

The role will have overall responsibility for coordinating the technical, operational, commercial and contractual aspects of allocated projects, ensuring that works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required specification, standards and client expectations.

The Project Manager will act as the principal point of contact between the company, client, principal contractor, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of the fire and security industry and will be capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, ranging from smaller installation and remedial works through to major construction and refurbishment projects.

The Project Manager will not necessarily be expected to undertake detailed system design but must be capable of understanding the design intent, identifying technical issues and coordinating designers, engineers and specialist suppliers where required.
