Job description

Protec Fire and Security Group, a Bosch Company, has an opportunity for a Project Engineer (Custodial).

The Project Engineer will work on and assist with the day-to-day project management of a new Fire Detection and Alarm Systems project within a new build prison environment. The ideal candidate will have sound industry knowledge and previous experience to ensure efficient delivery and installation of challenging, fast-paced custodial projects.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage projects from enquiry to completion.
2. Manage construction programmes and report progress.
3. Effectively oversee installation works on site, liaising with subcontractors and clients.
4. Perform relevant H&S duties, including safe starts and toolbox talks.
5. Coordinate with manufacturing, design, and other departments to ensure timely delivery.
6. Identify and communicate potential problem areas effectively.
7. Ensure compliance with codes, practices, and specifications.
8. Complete Quality Assurance documentation and report snags to subcontractors.
9. Delegate tasks to team members.
10. Willingness to learn and undertake commercial responsibilities.
11. Perform any other duties relevant to the role.
