As we continue our growth into 2025, we are looking to strengthen our team of skilled engineers with the addition of a Fire & Security Works Engineer.

Location: Covering the Greater Newcastle area

What is the role?

As a Works Engineer at Trinity, you will be providing installation and completing small works to our clients' fire and security systems. You will complete scheduled work in a timely and efficient manner, adhering to Trinity's high-quality standards. You will work as part of a skilled team of Works Engineers and will be supported by our wider support departments to provide high-quality service and customer experience.

The Key Tasks Include:

• Carry out all necessary works required at customer premises in accordance with the company's quality standards.
• Effectively communicate with customers to ensure understanding of system and site status.
• Liaise with works administrators and other internal stakeholders to ensure commitments are met.
• Work to a planned install and small works schedule.

What systems experience do you need?

Fire: Required

CCTV: Required

Intruder: Required

Access Control: Required

Desirable skills and experience are also welcomed.

What skills do you need?

• Experience in installing and completing small works fire, security, CCTV, and access control systems to relevant British Standards.
• Ability to identify all types of cable associated with fire detection and security systems, and to correctly test and terminate the cable ends in accordance with manufacturers' instructions.
• A logical approach to system fault diagnosis and rectification.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

What technical knowledge do you need?

• Understanding of basic building services to test cause and effect of fire alarm interfaces.
• Knowledge of causes and cures of fire, intruder, CCTV, and access control problems, including recommending changes to prevent false alarms.
• Basic Electrical Safety training (ECA).
• Manufacturers training with a minimum of Notifier and Gent equipment.
