Job description

Fire & Security Engineers x 2

To deliver the complete installation, maintenance, and commissioning of fire detection and security systems, including fire-rated hose reels, in accordance with all relevant standards and legislative requirements. This role ensures the provision of a safe, compliant, and high-quality service that meets or exceeds client expectations. The engineer will provide technical expertise across the team and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

• Install, commission, and maintain fire detection and alarm systems, CCTV (IP and analogue), intruder alarms, access control, and emergency lighting.
• Install, test, and maintain fire-rated hose reels in accordance with BS EN 671-1:2012.
• Conduct fault finding and remedial work on existing systems.
• Maintain clear and accurate records, including commissioning certificates and test results.
• Proficient in using Microsoft and various in-house software packages, with basic IT networking knowledge, and able to use manufacturer software tools to complete IP networking.

QUALIFICATIONS & PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIPS:

• FIA Unit 1-5 or equivalent.
• NVQ Level 3 in Fire, Emergency & Security Systems (FESS).
• ECS FESS Gold Card.
• IOSH Working Safely or equivalent.
• BS7858 Enhanced Security Screening.
• Competency to install and commission portable fire extinguishers in accordance with BS 5306-3:2017 and BS 5306-8:2012.
• Competency to install and commission fire-rated hose reels in accordance with BS EN 671-1:2012.
• Completion of relevant Gent training modules and certifications, including Vigilon Basic Commissioning, Vigilon Advanced Commissioning, Vigilon Networking, WINMAG V6 for Vigilon - Commissioning Course.

Salary & Benefits:

• Salary: £45,000 to £50,000
• Overtime and travel time at the appropriate rate (30 mins each way)
