Job summary

Dalkia UK is seeking an experienced Fire Systems Technician to perform Planned Preventative Maintenance and reactive tasks on a single-site contract in the United Kingdom. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair fire alarm and associated systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and contractual requirements.

Applicants should have a Fire & Security Apprenticeship or equivalent, health and safety training, and proven experience with fire alarm systems, plus an ECS card.

Qualifications

• Fire & Security Apprenticeship (or recognised equivalent).
• Health and Safety Training.
• Industry experience with maintenance duties including fault diagnosis, rectification and preventative tasks.
• Candidate should be fully experienced in fire alarms and have certification evidence.
• Hold a valid ECS card.
• Desirable: IPAF certified.
• Desirable: PASMA certified.

Responsibilities

• Carry out PPM in accordance with set schedules to maintain Fire & Security Systems.
• Adhere to Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA) requirements.
• Maintain accurate records/documentation for Fire Systems.
• Respond to reactive maintenance issues and service desk requests.
• Coordinate initial actions for client requests and visiting specialists.
• Respond to call outs and cover breakdowns and emergencies on the contract.
• Diagnose faults and support other trades as necessary.
• Manage workload and prioritise tasks to meet timescales.
• Provide reports on work and equipment as required.
