Fire Service and Maintenance Engineer
Location: Stafford
Type: Permanent
Salary: £28,295 - £42,440 per annum + overtime/travel time/out of hours retainer fees
Potential Earnings: Up to £50,000 per annum (including bonuses)

About the Role:
Our client is seeking a motivated Fire Service and Maintenance Engineer to join their successful team. This role involves delivering PPM servicing, repairing life safety systems, and ensuring Health & Safety compliance. The engineer will work in various environments and locations, engaging with clients to provide exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:
  1. Service, maintain, and install fire alarm systems (BS5839-1) and emergency lighting systems
  2. Complete engineer service reports accurately
  3. Report deficiencies in systems
  4. Maintain emergency lighting systems and associated equipment
  5. Conduct van stock checks and liaise with the Engineering Technical Supervisor and Procurement Department
  6. Ensure Health & Safety compliance and report risks promptly
  7. Aim for first-time fixes where possible
Requirements:
  1. Flexible approach to work (minimum 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri)
  2. Full UK Driving License
  3. Previous experience with fire alarm systems
  4. FIA training (or equivalent) to BS5839-1 Fundamentals
  5. Understanding of BS5839 parts one and six
  6. Good IT literacy
  7. Knowledge of Health & Safety Regulations
