Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the fire & security systems industry.

  • Experience with PPM, accident reporting, RAMS, and health and safety legislation.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Engineer to work as a member of the Mitie Fire & Security Systems Operations Field Service team. You will ensure the effective delivery of PPM, reactive calls, and small works, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.

You will carry out routine servicing, testing, inspection, repairs, and installation of fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, and related equipment, adhering to legislative and quality standards, with proper documentation and records maintained in a timely manner. Excellent communication skills and basic literacy in Microsoft Word and Excel are required.

The role requires working in accordance with high health and safety standards and previous experience in a similar role within the fire & security systems industry, including service testing, inspection, fault-finding, and knowledge of relevant standards and codes. Participation in company training to stay updated on technical aspects is expected.

The ideal candidate will have experience with PPM, accident reporting, RAMS, and health and safety legislation, preferably in engineering. Sharing technical knowledge, problem-solving, taking initiative, and working independently are valued skills.
