A leading security services provider in Hardingstone is seeking an experienced Engineer to ensure effective delivery of PPM, reactive calls, and Small Works within the Fire & Security Systems team. Responsibilities include routine servicing and inspection of Fire Extinguishers, compliance with Health and Safety standards, and participation in training to maintain technical knowledge. Qualifications

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Engineer to work as a member of the Mitie Fire & Security Systems Operations Field service team. You'll ensure effective delivery of PPM, Reactive calls and additional Small Works, ensuring compliance with all Legal and Regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine servicing, testing, inspection, repairs, and installation of Fire Extinguishers/associated equipment and products to the relevant legislative and qualitative standards, alongside appropriate documentation and records in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety requirements and maintain up to date knowledge of technical aspects of the role through company-initiated training.
  • Carry out PPM, reactive calls and Small Works in the Fire & Security Systems industry, including fault-finding techniques and service test and inspection to the relevant standards/codes.
  • Attend and participate in company-initiated training to maintain up to date knowledge of technical aspects of the role.
  • Ideal candidates may have experience with PPM, Accident Reporting, or RAMS, and should follow Health and Safety Legislation, preferably in the engineering field.
Qualifications / Experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers; basic Microsoft Word and Excel literacy.
  • Capable of working to high levels of Health and Safety Requirements.
  • Previous experience in a similar role carrying out PPM, reactive calls and Small Works in the Fire & Security Systems industry; service test and inspection experience to the relevant standards/codes; fault-finding techniques.
  • Sharing technical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to take initiative and work with little supervision.
