Job summary

Time Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a leading UK fire and security solutions provider for a Design & Estimation Manager in Greater Manchester. You will lead a small team, oversee design and estimating activities, and deliver accurate, compliant quotes and tenders for fire and security projects.

The role requires 5+ years in fire/security design or estimating, strong knowledge of relevant systems, and BS compliance.

Qualifications

5+ years' experience in fire & security design, estimating, or technical sales.
Strong knowledge of fire alarms, CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, and integrated security systems.
Good understanding of relevant British Standards and industry regulations.
Experience preparing detailed tenders and technical proposals.
Strong leadership, communication, and commercial skills.
Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop the design and estimating team.
Produce and review system designs, quotations, tenders, and cost estimates.
Interpret specifications, drawings, and client requirements to create compliant solutions.
Conduct site surveys and client meetings where required.
Manage supplier and subcontractor pricing enquiries.
Support sales, operational teams, and senior leadership with technical and commercial expertise.
Ensure smooth project handovers following contract award.
Monitor KPIs, tender success rates, and departmental performance.
