Job summary

Our client is an independent Fire Alarm, Security and Structured Data Cabling company based in the City of London, delivering fully integrated, bespoke systems at the forefront of Fire Alarm, Security and Data technology.

They seek a Fire & Security Design Engineer to own design packages from concept through construction, producing calculations, drawings, specifications and submissions for fire alarm and security systems, in line with BS 5839 and fire strategy requirements, coordinating with

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a Fire & Security Design Engineer.
• Proven track record taking projects from concept through to construction.
• Strong working knowledge of BS 5839 fire alarm design and zoning.
• Security design experience (CCTV, access control, intruder detection); FIA qualifications desirable.

Responsibilities

• Own fire and security design packages from concept through to construction support.
• Produce fire alarm designs per BS 5839 including zoning and cause & effect.
• Develop security designs covering CCTV, access control, intruder detection and ANPR.
• Prepare technical submissions and provide construction support; resolve queries.
• Coordinate with clients and consultants throughout the design process.
