Job summary

Secureshield Ltd is seeking a Fire & Security Commissioning Engineer to join our Newcastle upon Tyne team. You will commission and test fire alarms, security systems, and TECS equipment on site.

You will troubleshoot faults, work with design and install teams, and ensure full regulatory compliance, enabling successful handovers to clients. On a day-to-day basis, you’ll apply strong technical skills in a collaborative, growing security group.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to commission and test fire alarms, security systems and TECS equipment.
• Strong electrical testing and verification skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve faults to handover-ready status.
• Understanding of fire and security standards and regulations.
• Confident communication with clients and colleagues on-site.
• Experience in Fire & Security sector is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning and testing fire alarms, security systems, and TECS equipment.
• Fault-finding and ensuring systems are handed over to the client.
