Job description
Overview

Exciting opportunity working with one of London's most recognised Local Authorities. The client is seeking an experienced Fire Safety Project Manager to oversee the delivery of Fire Safety improvement works across the council's Affordable Housing portfolio.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver all planned fire improvement works from Fire Risk Assessments through to the replacement of fire doors and fire systems.
  • Collaborate with the Building Services, Health and Safety and Housing teams on services under this post's responsibility.
  • Inspect current Affordable Housing portfolio Fire Safety measures.
  • Scope fire improvement works and prepare specifications in accordance with block fire risk assessments, Fire Safety Standards and framework contracts.
  • Carry out handover inspections on completed works and maintain thorough records of all inspections.
Essential Experience
  • Good knowledge of Local Authority procedures, policies and standards relevant to the role.
  • Experience in financial management and cost control of fire improvement works.
  • Strong background in similar fire improvement projects within housing.
  • Expert understanding of current Fire Safety and Health & Safety regulations.
  • Fire Safety qualifications or certifications.
