Job description

Up to £600- Daily Rate - Umbrella
Full Time – 5 Days
6-12 Months Contract Initially
Bristol / Hybrid

Our Public Sector Client is looking for a Fire Safety Manager to ensure the safety of the building, primarily for the safety of all occupants of multi-occupied residential buildings including Low-Rise Residential Buildings, High-Rise Residential Buildings, and Supported Housing for Older People.

There will also be a requirement to input on the Building Safety policies and procedures, as well as developing and updating fire safety strategies and working on fire safety aspects of building safety cases.

Essential Experience:
  1. Experience of effective fire safety management at a senior level in a social housing setting, with an in-depth knowledge of relevant regulation and British Standards
  2. In-depth understanding of complex buildings, fire safety systems and remediation of fire safety issues
  3. Ability to formulate and articulate strategies and plans
  4. Experience of managing and developing services to improve outcomes for citizens and customers
  5. Effectively plan and deliver complex projects and programmes
  6. Lead and manage, inspiring and motivating people across a whole service
  7. Manage performance effectively and to hold all team members to account
  8. Plan and manage all finance and budgets to meet performance targets
  9. Ability to actively contribute to innovation and to take analytical approaches to solving complex and challenging problems
  10. Experience of using digital technology to deliver and improve services
  11. Experience of working in complex and diverse organisations
  12. Ability to cope well with and overcome ambiguity through use of effective change management approaches
  13. To work effectively and credibly with diverse and complex stakeholders
  14. Highly-developed advocacy, negotiation and presentation skills
Qualifications (Essential)
  1. Fire safety related qualification, or equivalent
  2. Professional membership to IFE and/or IFSM, or equivalent
