This hybrid role allows for flexibility, with three days in the office and two days working from home. Job description

Fire Safety Contracts Officer

Hybrid working - 3 days in the office / 2 from home

Housing

Potentially negotiable dependant on experience

The role:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing primarily 1 passive fire remedial contractor and monitoring and managing completion of Fire Risk Assessment actions.
  • Provide guidance to internal staff members on completion of Fire Safety actions.
  • Communicate with internal teams to help with access, etc.
  • Raise, track & receipt purchase orders in our system.
  • Lead weekly and monthly contract meetings with contractor/s, set agendas, and consistently review workloads, expected completions, work in progress, etc.
  • Liaise with consultants when needed for post inspections, quote checks, specifications, etc.

Key skills and experience:

  • Experience in contract and/or stakeholder management.
  • Knowledge of fire risk and the applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Financial management ensuring our contractors are paid on time.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Effective IT skills including intermediate MS Office skills.
