Your week will be a mix of on-site visits and home-based report writing, ensuring a balanced work-life schedule. Travel to various sites is essential, so a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle are required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fire risk assessments and audits for commercial and residential properties.
• Provide high-quality consultancy support to clients, including technical guidance and recommendations.
• Prepare clear, detailed reports from on-site findings and assessments.
• Travel to various sites as required and manage time effectively to balance site visits with report writing.

Qualifications

• Qualifications: High-level fire-related qualification (degree or Level 4 / 5 Diploma minimum).
• Experience: At least 5 years in commercial and residential Fire Risk Assessments.
• Knowledge: Thorough understanding of current legislation, Building Regulations, and British Standards.
• Skills: Excellent report writing, IT, and communication skills.
• Professional Memberships: IFE (AIFireE minimum) or IFSM (MIFSM minimum).
• Specialised Skills: Experience with Passive Fire Protection Surveys, Retrospective Fire Strategy documents, smoke control calculations, and thermal radiation analyses.
• Health & Safety: NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent.
