Job summary

A leading healthcare provider is seeking an experienced Fire Safety Advisor to manage fire safety strategy and compliance across a complex hospital estate. The ideal candidate will have a NEBOSH Certificate and substantial experience in healthcare settings.

Qualifications

Fire Safety Advisor

We’re recruiting on behalf of a leading healthcare provider for an experienced Fire Safety Advisor to oversee fire safety strategy, compliance, and risk assessments across a complex hospital estate.

This is a critical role requiring hands-on expertise in fire risk management within hospital environments, ensuring safety standards are upheld and aligned with healthcare regulations and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead fire safety across hospital sites, including the development and implementation of fire safety policy
  2. Manage and carry out Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs) across hospital buildings
  3. Provide fire safety training, advice, and guidance to staff and contractors
  4. Investigate fire incidents and ensure robust reporting, learning, and improvement processes
  5. Ensure compliance with Fire Safety Order, HTM standards, and broader H&S legislation
  6. Liaise with external fire authorities and internal stakeholders to maintain a safe healthcare environment.
What You'll Need:
  • NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety (or equivalent)
  • Significant experience working in hospital or large healthcare estates
  • Proven track record managing and delivering FRAs in healthcare settings
  • Strong knowledge of fire and health & safety legislation, including HTM and NHS-specific requirements
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills
