Job description
Overview

The Fire Safety Advisor supports the Head of Fire Safety for managing all aspects of Fire Safety, Fire Prevention, and Fire Safety training development and delivery to all staff.

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional advice in regard to Fire Code, Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety Order) 2005, Building Regulations, and all other relevant legislation both within the Trust and for other client bodies.
  • Provide support to the Head of Fire Safety in providing and maintaining an adequate level of fire safety throughout the Trust's estate.
  • Ensure that the Trust complies with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (RRO), NHS Estates Firecode Policy and Principles, and associated management and design guidance.
  • Work closely with the Head of Fire Safety, Estates Management, Capital Projects Team, care Groups and Departmental managers in clinical and non-clinical areas to ensure the provision of a fire safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors and to facilitate sustained improvement in patient care and wellbeing.
