Job description

Fire Risk Officer needed in South/South West, £42,283 pa – Reference: 5270744

As our Fire Risk Officer, you will be responsible for carrying out Fire Risk Assessments across various premises.

  1. Assessing the fire strategy for all relevant Group buildings in accordance with The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
  2. Liaising with external bodies such as Primary Fire Authorities, contractors, consultants, Local Authorities, and other associations to ensure regular inspections and fire risk assessments according to PAS 79.
  3. Managing fire safety programmes and ensuring timely delivery of fire safety work by coordinating with planned delivery teams.

The role offers flexibility in managing site and home/office time, typically around 40% site-based and 60% home/office-based.

The successful candidate will cover the entire geographical area where the client has properties requiring fire assessments, including Hampshire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Dorset, Devon, Cornwall, and London. Core assessments will be allocated based on proximity to the candidate’s location, with occasional visits to London.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Experience in conducting fire risk inspections and producing reports, with substantial knowledge of fire risk assessment and fire safety within a housing environment.
  • Ability to manage their own time independently, organizing their diary effectively.
  • A full clean driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes, due to travel requirements.

This is a full-time, permanent role.
