Job Description:

Fire Risk Assessor
UK Based Hybrid role for a leading safety consultancy (several roles available - from senior to lead).
In this position, you will develop relationships and deliver robust fire risk assessments and reports.
Experience in commercial, residential, and industrial sectors is required.

The day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Preparing fire, health, and safety risk assessments in accordance with legislative requirements.
• Developing retrospective fire strategy reports for residential and student accommodation buildings.
• Providing robust fire, health, and safety advice to clients with high-level advocacy.
• Developing emergency and evacuation plans (including specific tenant plans).
• Delivering client-specific projects and acting as a competent person.
• Providing corporate management advice, gap analysis reports, and fire and health and safety management systems.
• Supporting the Technical Director in department projects.
• Completing technical reviews of fire, health, and safety risk assessments by consultants.
• Staying updated with current legislation and advising clients on compliance.
• Identifying and discussing solutions to health, safety, and fire-related problems.
• Reviewing international regulations and completing European health, safety, and fire safety risk assessments as required.

Qualifications and Certifications:

• Familiarity with BAFE SP205 Validation process.
• Demonstrable CPD record.
• Membership of IFSM or IFE.
• Recognized Fire Risk Assessment qualification.
• Diploma level qualification in health and safety.
• CMIOSH or equivalent (or working towards).
• Registered on a recognized Fire Consultants’ Register.
• Thorough understanding of British Standards related to fire in the residential sector.
• Knowledge of Building Regulations Approved Document B, British Standards, relevant fire, health, and safety legislation, ACOPS, Approved Documents M and K.
• Awareness of CDM 2015 Regulations.
