Job summary

A leading safety consultancy is seeking a Fire Risk Assessor for a UK-based hybrid role. The position involves developing relationships and delivering detailed fire risk assessments across various sectors. Candidates should have recognised qualifications and relevant experience in the field, with a focus on compliance and advocacy in fire safety management.

Qualifications

  • Familiar with BAFE SP205 Validation process.
  • Demonstrable CPD record.
  • Member of IFSM or IFE.

In this positionyou will be expected to develop relationships, and deliver robust Fire Risk Assessments and reports
Experience in commercial, residential and industrial sectors is a must
The day job

  • Preparing fire, health and safety risk assessments in accordance with legislative requirements.
  • Develop retrospective fire strategy reports for residential and student accommodation buildings.
  • Provide robust fire, health and safety advice to clients with high level advocacy
  • Develop emergency plans and evacuation plans (including specific tenant plans).
  • Deliver on client specific projects and competent person roles.
  • Provide corporate management advice, gap analysis reports and fire and health and safety management systems.
  • Support Technical Director in department projects.
  • Complete technical reviews of consultant fire, health and safety risk assessments.
  • Keep up to date with current legislation and advise clients on compliance requirements.
  • Identify and discuss solutions to health, safety and fire related problems.
  • Review international regulations and compliance regulations, complete European health, safety, and fire safety risk assessments as required.
Qualifications/Certifications
  • Familiar with BAFE SP205 Validation process.
  • Demonstrable CPD record.
  • Member of IFSM or IFE.
  • Recognised Fire Risk Assessment qualification.
  • Diploma level qualification in health and safety.
  • CMIOSH or equivalent (or working towards).
  • Registered on a recognised Fire Consultants’ Register.
  • Thorough understanding of British Standards relating to fire in the residential sector.
  • Building regulations Approved Document B, British Standards, relevant fire, health and safety legislation, ACOPS, Approved Documents M and K.
  • Awareness of CDM 2015 Regulations.
