Fire Risk Assessor

£40,000.00 - £45,000.00 per year basic (depending on experience)

Including vehicle + tools + mobile phone etc.

Folgate Safety LTD are looking for a Fire Risk Assessor to join our team.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 3 years experience in sector & relevant accredited qualification to confirm competency.
• Requirement for qualification to do Type 1-4 fire risk assessments, Fire Strategies & Fire Evacuation Plans. Minimum level 3 qualifications with level 4 desirable. Majority of works will be Type 1.
• Listed on Fire Risk Assessor Register (either IFE or IFSM).

Main Responsibilities

Main duties will be meeting and liaising with responsible person on site to gain access to properties to complete fire risk assessments of premises including industrial/factory settings, blocks of flats, office spaces & other commercial premises. Accurately recording all on site findings including capturing photos and unique details on each project. Producing reports documenting the findings with recommendations on company assessment templates or using an app. This will include keeping up with current legislation, Fire Safety strategies, and Fire Management plans.

Desirable Additional Skills

• Experience with fire resisting door inspections (or willing to train in this area).
• Fire Compartmentation experience.
• Qualifications in fire safety training to teach courses e.g. fire marshal or first aid.

Based in Corby, Northamptonshire we primarily work in NN & LE postcodes. A work vehicle / mobile phone / all equipment will be provided.

You must live in Northamptonshire or surrounding area e.g. Leicester. We are a local company, established in 2010 who prioritise quality and service standards.

(Salary negotiable based on experience and competence).
