Role Overview:

EHS International is seeking a Fire Engineer on behalf of our client for an exciting multi-sector project in Belfast. This role is well-suited for Health & Safety professionals with a strong understanding of fire certification, planning, or emergency planning in construction and property development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop fire strategies to support planning applications for residential, commercial and mixed-use projects
  • Conduct reviews of fire risk, occupant safety and design compliance
  • Provide expert advice on fire certifications and regulatory approvals
  • Ensure all designs address evacuation routes, means of escape, and fire service access
  • Liaise with developers, consultants and regulatory authorities throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements:

  • Proven H&S experience with fire safety responsibilities in a built environment setting
  • Familiarity with NI Building Regulations and relevant fire codes
  • Ability to prepare or interpret fire safety strategies for complex developments
  • Knowledge of planning processes, technical documentation and safety compliance
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills
