Job summary

Seed Environmental, part of the Celnor Group, is seeking a Contracts Manager for its Fire and Flood division, covering the North Doncaster or Preston area. You will oversee insurance repair projects from survey to final accounts, coordinating with clients, policyholders and insurers to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The role requires strong construction/project management experience, excellent stakeholder skills, and a proactive, customer-focused approach in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience managing construction, insurance reinstatement, fire and flood restoration or property repair projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methods and building repair works.
• Experience preparing project costings, valuations and final accounts.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong planning and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience supervising subcontractors and site teams.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Visit policyholders and other stakeholders to assess damage, prepare schedules of repair and agree scopes of work.
• Manage insurance repair projects from initial survey through to completion.
• Prepare costings, valuations and contract documentation using internal systems and client portals.
• Manage variations, interim valuations and final accounts.
• Procure and manage subcontractor packages.
• Monitor project progress and produce accurate reports and updates.
• Manage subcontractor performance, workmanship and Health & Safety compliance.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards.
• Liaise with policyholders, insurers, loss adjusters and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Work closely with office-based coordinators to ensure effective document control and information management.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and snagging activities.
