Job summary

London Security Plc is seeking a field-based Fire Extinguisher Technician to service and install fire safety equipment at customer sites across the UK. You will conduct surveys, provide recommendations, and ensure compliance with relevant standards and safety procedures.

The role requires independent work, good communication, and a full UK driving licence. Training and development opportunities, a company vehicle, and pension scheme are available.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing and maintaining fire extinguishers.
• Knowledge of fire safety regulations and British Standards.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Competent in completing paperwork and electronic service records.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and maintenance of portable fire extinguishers per BS 5306.
• Install new fire extinguishers and related safety equipment.
• Conduct site surveys and recommend fire protection requirements.
• Inspect signage for correct placement and compliance.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs as needed.
• Complete service reports and certification accurately and promptly.
• Advise customers on correct selection and use of extinguishers.
• Ensure work complies with Health & Safety procedures.
