About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Fire Engineer (Small Works Engineer) to join the team, delivering high-quality fire protection solutions across Kent and the Southeast. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in fire systems and a strong track record of installing and commissioning medium-scale installations.

Responsibilities
  • Install, commission, and maintain medium-scale fire alarm and detection systems
  • Manage small works projects independently, ensuring timely and compliant delivery
  • Conduct fault finding, remedial works, and system upgrades
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to BS5839, BS5266, and other relevant standards
Qualifications
  • Proven experience installing and commissioning medium-scale fire systems
  • Completion of FIA Courses 1, 2, 3, and 5 (Fire Detection & Alarm Foundation, Design, Installation, and Maintenance)
  • Strong understanding of fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, and British Standards
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Based in or around Gillingham, Kent
